Our nonprofit focus for the month of March is Girls Inc. of Central Alabama! We just can’t say enough good things about Girls Inc. As you know, we have a special interest in elevating women, and that starts with elevating GIRLS. Listen in as Julie interviews Dr. Connie Hill, CEO of Girls Incorporated of Central AL.
Girls Inc. of Central Alabama inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, through direct service and advocacy. Girls Inc. focuses on the development of the whole girl. Through Girls Inc., girls learn to value themselves, take risks, and discover and develop their inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. Informed by girls and their families, Girls Inc. also advocates for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls.
